Dhurandhar 2: As Ranveer Singh’s latest blockbuster, Dhurandhar The Revenge, continues its record-breaking run at the box office, it has become the centre of a fierce political debate. Reet Padda, the sister of Saiyaara actress Aneet Padda, has sparked a massive backlash storm after publicly labelling the film, along with The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story, as propaganda.

Reet Padda’s Viral Comments On Dhurandhar 2 And Priyanka Chopra

The controversy began when Reet Padda, a marketing specialist and activist based in Paris, responded to a social media user who questioned her political views. She wrote, "For Dhurandhar, it literally serves as a government-friendly narrative, using political speeches to justify, say, the minor hiccup of demonetisation. Call it propaganda? Yep. Deny it? Not a chance."

Reet Padda also took a swipe at global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas for her perceived silence on international conflicts. Referring to a viral moment from the Oscars, she stated, "She's got a chance to oppose an illegal war next to someone taking a stand, and… she can’t even clap." She added that if her own sister, Aneet, were in that position and chose to stand there like a dodo bird, she would be the first to call her out.

Meanwhile, netizens began trolling Reet. Rumours surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) claiming she is dating a Pakistani national in Europe, leading to further heated exchanges. Following the intense pressure and personal attacks, Reet Padda has now made her Instagram account private and removed her display picture.
