As per HT City report, 30 people attended the intimate wedding in Coimbaotore, Tamil Nadu. The pair's numerous appearances together in recent months have stoked rumours that they are more than just partners. Raj Nidmoru married Shhyamali De, who was an assistant director for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Vishal Bhardwaj, in 2015. She often shared birthday and anniversary photos with her director husband until the rumours about their separation made headlines.

Who Is Raj Nidimoru's Ex-Wife Shhyamali De?

Shhyamali De earned a psychology degree from Mumbai University. She later collaborated with other well-known directors, including Vishal Bhardwaj and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. She has experience working on movie sets as a playwright, creative consultant, and assistant director. Rang De Basanti, Omkara, and Ek Nadir Golpo are a few of the well-known movies in which Shhyamali has appeared.

Raj Nidimoru had commended his then-wife Shhyamali De for providing a new viewpoint to his profession prior to their divorce in 2022. He claimed that Shhyamali keeps them rooted in their job because she comes from a non-filmy background. In an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, the director added that his wife frequently gave him casting advice.

Raj Nidimoru said, "Shhyamali De, my wife, constantly advises me about casting. She comes from a non-filmy background, so she always keeps us grounded."
