Who was Sambhaji Shahaji Raje Bhosle?

Sambhaji Shahaji Raje Bhosle (1623–1655) was the elder brother of the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the eldest son of Shahaji Raje Bhosle and Jijabai. He served as a Maratha sardar under the Bijapur Sultanate and was killed during a military campaign at Kanakagiri. Sambhaji was killed young in an assault on Kanakagiri by Afzal Khan.
