Bobby Deol's iconic song Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela from Gupta was featured in The Ba***ds of Bollywood. The actor portrayed Bollywood celebrity Ajay Talvar in the Netflix show helmed by Aryan Khan. The song is picturised on Ajay from his Sailaab movie during the late 1990s. In the earlier episodes, the song was heard once at a party. However, when it links Ajay to Mona Singh's character, Neeta, at the show's climax, its true significance truly blows mind. Singh was not a part of the original song in the movie Gupt.

Bobby Deol's Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela got popular after appearing on The Ba***ds of Bollywood. But did you know that the dancer in the original song was also named Bobby? According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the dancer is also named Bobby and there's really no information about her on the internet.

Talking about Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela, it has over 7 million views and over 59k likes. The song, which was sung by Udit Narayan and created by Viju Shah, started to gain popularity on Spotify and Instagram over the weekend. The Gupt dancer's face was digitally swapped out for Mona Singh's character in the Netflix series. This scene is one of the most crucial parts of the show since it basically justifies the title - The Bastards Of Bollywood! Aryan Khan's first effort as a filmmaker and showrunner is The Ba***ds of Bollywood, a satirical look at the Hindi film industry.

Bobby Deol On Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela

Bobby Deol told stories from the backstage of the dancing performance of DuniyaHaseeno Ka Mela in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. To get the steps right, he had to practice a lot. He added that there was no air conditioning at the studios back then, and by the end of the day, he would be covered in perspiration.

"I had an accident on the former’s last day, so Chinni and Rekha Prakash Ji made those hand movements of mine, which became popular as ‘Bobby Deol’s style," Bobby Deol said in an interview in 2022.

"There would be no other commercial or film ads, besides Gupt. Only Gupt’s songs would keep playing. Can you believe that? It was amazing how he promoted the film because it had so much material," he added.

What Is Ba***ds of Bollywood About?

The main cast of the series includes Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Raghav Juyal, and Aanya Singh apart from Bobby Deol and Mona Singh. Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Arshad Warsi, Emraan Hashmi, SS Rajamouli, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and numerous more celebrities portraying themselves also make cameos in the Netflix series.
