If the reports are to be believed, she claimed her husband had an affair with a female actor. Amidst this, an old interview of Trisha, talking about her broken engagement with Varun Manian, resurfaced on social media.

For those who are unaware, Trisha Krishnan got engaged to Varun Manian, a businessman from Chennai, in 2015. Her enormous fan base was ecstatic as she announced her engagement. Soon after, she called off her engagement in May of the same year.

Trisha Krishnan and Varun were unable to communicate because of their different viewpoints, according to several reports. There were many rumours at the time that the groom's father opposed his wish to marry Trisha because they wanted their son to marry someone from a similar family. Additionally, it was revealed that Varun disapproved of Trisha's relationship with his male co-stars, particularly Dhanush, and wanted her to stop acting.
It is said that Trisha invited Dhanush to her engagement. Varun reportedly couldn't handle it, and a heated argument ensued.
Trisha Krishnan opened up about her choice to call off her engagement, according to Onmanorama. The actor claimed that she rejected the marriage proposal when the person she wanted to marry asked her not to work. "The person I was supposed to marry asked me to stop acting. Instead of films, I chose to put a full stop to my engagement. I will only take a break when I get pregnant. If I am not offered lead roles, I will do characters that suit my image, but I won't move away from the film industry. My wish is to act until my last breath."
