OTT Movies And Web Series Releasing This Week (July 29 To Aug 4): OTT platforms have made it easy for viewers to watch their favourite movies and shows in different languages and genres from around the world. Netflix, Prime Video, Zee5, Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema and others are currently at the top of their game and successfully brought amazing content from around the world to everyone's phone screens. Every week, these streaming giants release variety of new movies, shows and web series for all kinds of audiences.
We have curated a list of upcoming movies and web series from around the world releasing on popular OTT platforms this week (July 29 to August 4).
1. Dune Part 2
'Dune' is the two-part adaptation of the 1965 novel 'Dune' by Frank Herbert and follows Paul Atreides as he follows his destiny to unite with the Fremen people of the planet Arrakis to win the war against the oppressive House Harkonnen. The movie stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Austin Butler and Florence Pugh. 'Dune Part Two' will release on JioCinema on August 1, 2024.
2. Brinda
'Brinda' stars Trisha Krishnan, Indrajith Sukumaran, Jaya Prakash, Aamani, Ravindra Vijay, Anand Sami, and Rakendu Mouli. Written and directed by Surya Manoj Vangala, the series will release on SonyLiv on August 2. The show revolves around SI cadet Brinda, who has to solve a brutal murder with a chilling modus operandi.
3. Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes
'Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes' revolves around Caesar, a young ape, who goes on a journey that makes him question the future of apes and humans. It stars Owen Teague in the lead role with Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, and William H. Macy seen in pivotal roles. The movie will release on Disney+ Hotstar on August 2.
4. Modern Masters SS Rajamouli
'Modern Masters SS Rajamouli' is the upcoming documentary which will focus on the career, rise and success of legendary Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli. Prabhas, Ram Charan, Jr NTR Karan Johar and other celebrities will talk about the director. 'Modern Masters SS Rajamouli' will release on Netflix on August 2.
5. A Good Girl's Guide To Murder
'A Good Girl's Guide To Murder' will focus on a high school student named Pip Fitz-Amobi, who investigates the murder of a high school student. It is based on the popular novel of the same name, written by Holly Jackson and 'Wednesday' star Emma Myers will be seen as the protagonist Pip Fitz-Amobi. The series will release on Netflix on August 2.
