Upcoming OTT Releases Of This Week: OTT platforms have transformed the experience of watching movies and shows as audiences can now watch content of their choice with just one click at any time and anywhere. The demand for streaming giants like Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema, and Prime Video, among others, has skyrocketed as they have also set the bar high for viewers in terms of quality content. The OTT platforms release new projects every week in different genres and languages from all over the world. 1. Maharani Season 3
Set in the 1990s in Bihar, 'Maharani Season 3' is inspired by the true political events that took place in the state. The web series stars Huma Qureshi in the lead role with Sohum Shah, Amit Sial, Kani Kusruti and Inaamulhaq seen in pivotal roles. The show will release on SonyLiv on March 7.
2. Anweshippin Kandethum
'Anweshippin Kandethum' focuses on a police officer, who investigates a shocking and brutal murder case. The movie stars Tovino Thomas in the lead role with Indrans, Siddique, Shammi Thilakan, Sadiq, Azees Nedumangad and Baburaj seen in pivotal roles. As per reports, the movie will release on Netflix on March 8.
3. Damsel
'Damsel' stars Millie Bobby Brown, Ray Winstone, Nick Robinson, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Angela Bassett, and Robin Wright. The movie revolves around a young woman, who marries a handsome prince but soon realises it was a trap. Her marriage soon turns into a fight for survival she is offered up as a sacrifice to a fire-breathing dragon. 'Damsel' will release on Netflix on March 8, 2024.
4. Hanuman
Starrng Teja Sajja in the lead role, 'Hanuman' is set in the fictional village of Anjanadari and revolves around a young man who gains the superpower of Lord Hanuman. As per reports, the movie will release on Zee5 on March 8.
5. Lal Salaam
'Lal Salaam' stars Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth and Senthil in the lead roles along with Superstar Rajnikanth seen in an extended cameo. The movie revolves around a reckless townsman, who tries to change his thug ways by proving himself to be worthy in the eyes of the same people who chased him away. Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the movie will reportedly release on Netflix on March 8.
6. Lover
Written and directed by Prabhuram Vyas, 'Lover' stars K Manikandan and Sri Gouri Priya in the lead roles with Kanna Ravi and Harish Kumar seen in pivotal roles. The movie revolves around Arun and Divya, whose relationship starts turning sour after six years of being together and it raises the question if their love can stand the test of time or not. As per reports, the movie will release on Disney+ Hotstar on March 8.
7. Merry Christmas
'Merry Christmas' revolves around two strangers, who meet on Christmas Eve but their night soon turns into a nightmare. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the movie stars Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. The movie will reportedly release on Netflix on March 8.
8. Showtime
'Showtime' revolves around the power struggles of the influential people in Bollywood and how things unravel behind the scenes away from the glitz and glamour. The web series stars Emraan Hashmi, Mahima Makwana, Mouni Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Shriya Saran, Vijay Raaz and Naseeruddin Shah. 'Showtime' will release on Disney+ Hotstar on March 8.
9. Yatra 2
'Yatra 2' is based on the life of the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Directed by Mahi V Raghav, the movie stars Mammootty and Jiiva in the lead roles. The movie will release on Prime Video on March 8.
10. Queen Of Tears
'Queen Of Tears' revolves around Hong Hae-in, the third-generation heiress to the Queens Group, who has been married to Baek Hyeon-u, the Yongdu-ri village chief's son. The series will release on March 9 on Netflix.
