45 Movie On OTT: Music composer Arjun Janya marked his directorial debut on OTT with the film 45, which features Shivrajkumar in a key role, along with a strong supporting cast. Although the film did not perform as expected during its theatrical run, it opened to impressive numbers upon release. 45 hit cinemas during the Christmas period, despite originally being slated for an earlier release. While the concept generated curiosity, audience response dipped soon after, with viewers feeling that the film’s interpretation of the afterlife and themes inspired by the Garuda Purana did not fully meet expectations.

For those who missed it in theatres, 45 is now available to stream on Zee5, though it is currently offered only in its original Kannada version.
About the movie: 45 is a 2025 Indian Kannada-language fantasy action film that marks the directorial debut of music composer Arjun Janya. Apart from directing and composing the music, Arjun Janya also co-wrote the film, collaborating with Anil Kumar, who handled the dialogues. The film’s visual language is crafted by cinematographer Satya Hegde, while the editing has been done by K. M. Prakash, bringing together a technically strong team behind the scenes.
The film was shot over a span of around 80 days, with major portions filmed in Bengaluru and Mysore. One of the notable aspects of the production is its heavy use of visual effects, with CGI work executed by Canada-based MARZ Studio, adding scale and depth to the storytelling.

The official trailer of 45 was unveiled on December 16, 2025, during a grand launch event held at Kempegowda Ground in Bengaluru, drawing significant attention. Following this, the film saw its theatrical release on December 25, 2025, coinciding with Christmas and went on to receive mixed-to-positive reviews from critics.
