Gustaakh Ishq OTT Release: Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh’s romantic saga hit theatres today, on November 28, 2025. Gustaakh Ishq also marks the directorial debut of celebrated fashion designer Manish Malhotra. The movie has been receiving overwhelming responses from the viewers. The early reviews suggested that the film is made for theatres, which has a scale of emotion that is unmissable. Post its theatrical run, the movie is expected to hit the OTT platform.

According to reports in OTT Play, Gustaakh Ishq is expected to stream on JioHostar. The movie is said to release online in between late December 2025 and late January 2026. The romance drama features Vijay Varma as Nawabuddin Saifuddin Rahman, Fatima Sana Shaikh as Minni, Naseeruddin Shah as Aziz/Babba and Sharib Hashmi as Attachie. Gustaakh Ishq has been written by Vibhu Puri and Prasshant Jha. The film has been directed by Vibhu Puri. The romantic movie has been backed by ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra and renowned producer Dinesh Malhotra.

Gustaakh Ishq Plot

Gustaakh Ishq follows the story of a man named Nawabuddin Saifuddin Rahman, who is in pursuit of saving his father’s printing press in Old Delhi, and becomes a disciple of a retired poet named Aziz. He falls in love with his daughter-Minni, who is a teacher. Torned between love and honouring his mentor, Rahman has to make a choice that could change his life forever.

Meanwhile, speaking about stepping into the production space with Stage5 Production, Manish Malhotra shared, “Production house is my thing. It’s intimate; maybe the audience of today will relate to it, and I understand the people of today. I feel that classic, timeless love se har koi relate karega,” and added, “I wanted to start an independent production, not what people would expect out of me.” He added, “I think aajkal hum romance nahi dekhte. Aajkal simplicity, purity, music, wo sab nahi dekhte. And I think Gustaakh Ishq me wo sab kuch hai, including emotions, music and clean romance. When I heard the script, mujhe iski duniya bahot achi lagi, it’s really beautiful. When you see the film, you’ll feel beautiful and that is very important for me. For my beginning as a producer, I felt I should start with a beautiful and classic world.”
