Madras Matinee On OTT:  Sathyaraj and Roshini Haripriyan starrer Tamil family comedy movie hit the screens on June 6. The film received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics. Popular South OTT platform Sun NXT bought the streaming rights of the movie. Madras Matinee is set to start streaming on the OTT platform on July 4. The platform announced the news on its social media handles and wrote, “Every street has a story. Every home, a heartbeat! Madras Matinee is a tribute to the unsung heroes around us — fathers who sacrifice, families who hold on, and dreams that rise from everyday lives.”

The Tamil family comedy drama revolves around an aging science fiction writer, who is challenged by his caretaker to write about the common man. But he starts writing about TukTuk driver and his family. He wants to discover the ordinary life which has more drama and unexpected depth. Madras Matinee features Sathyaraj, Shelly Kishore, George Maryan, Roshini Haripriyan, Kaali Venkat and Sunil Sukhada in pivotal roles. The film has been directed by Karthikeyan Mani and produced by Corinne Martichenko, Arch Thomason, Robert Martichenko and Karthikeyan Mani. The screenplay was done by Karthikeyan Mani. As per reports, Madras Matinee was made on a budget of Rs 4 crore but could not collect the budget mark at the box office. It has a runtime of 2 hours and 15 minutes.
