Single Papa On OTT: Netflix has officially announced its upcoming family comedy Single Papa, led by Kunal Kemmu and featuring Prajakta Koli, Manoj Pahwa and Ayesha Raza. The streamer shared the first poster of the web series on Wednesday, giving viewers a glimpse of the fun and chaos that the show promises. Prajakta Koli, who has earlier collaborated with Netflix on Mismatched, makes her return to the platform with this project. The announcement has quickly created buzz across social media, with fans excited to see Kunal Kemmu in a lighthearted, feel-good role.
Netflix web series Single Papa aims to bring forward the ‘madness and magic’ of today’s Indian families, offering a warm and humorous take on parenting and relationships. Single Papa will premiere on 12th December 2025 on Netflix. Single Papa is created and co-produced by Ishita Moitra and Neeraj Udhwani, with Shashank Khaitan serving as executive producer. The series is directed by Hitesh Kewalya and Neeraj Udhwani, and produced under Juggernaut Productions by Aditya Pittie and Samar Khan. Kunal Kemmu leads the show as Gaurav, who is said to be an unlikely dad who’s equal parts determined, delightfully disoriented, and taking baby steps from man-child to man.

Single Papa Web Series Plot
Meanwhile, the story of Single Papa centres around Gaurav Gehlot, also known as GG, played by Kunal Kemmu. Gaurav is described as a lovable man-child whose emotional age is still a work in progress. His sudden decision to adopt a baby right after finalising his divorce shocks his family to the point where they almost consider rebooting him. What follows is plenty of kalesh, as the Gehlot family tries to understand how a man who often misplaces his own socks plans to look after a child. The series uses humour and heart to explore how Gaurav slowly transitions from being carefree and confused to taking on the responsibilities of a devoted father.

On the other hand, speaking about his role, Kunal Kemmu said, "'Single Papa' shows the messy, colorful chaos that makes a family special. Playing Gaurav, who is figuring out how to be a dad, made me laugh, cry, and reminded me how much parenting is trial and error, and a whole lot of love. I'm excited for everyone to meet my cute baby and join this joyride with my great Indian family.” Furthermore, Executive producer Shashank Khaitan shared his excitement too, saying, “I’m beyond thrilled to team up with Netflix again ‘Single Papa’ is pure fun and all heart.” Tanya Bami, Series Head at Netflix, called it a warm and relatable story, stating, “‘Single Papa’ is one of those rare stories that instantly makes you smile.” The story promises a mix of laughter, drama and touching moments that reflect the everyday experiences of Indian families.
