South OTT Releases This Week (July 21 To 27): Grab your favorite snack, catch up, and binge-watch everything that's new on your preferred streaming services. This weekend, OTT services like Jio Hotstar and Amazon Prime have a lot to offer, such as the compelling crime thriller Maargan and the Malayalam police procedural movie. Additionally, Telugu and Hindi versions of the Malayalam film Ronth will be available for streaming. 

This week's new over-the-top releases include Ronth, Maargan ShowTime, and others. The June 13 theatrical premiere of the Malayalam movie Ronth is getting ready for its digital release. Furthermore, Maargan received a great deal of praise from critics for its compelling psychological issues and emotionally packed mystery. Telugu murder thriller Show Time, which debuted in theaters on July 4, 2025 will also be releasing on OTT platform.

South OTT Releases This Week (July 21st to 27th)

Here is a list of the main South Indian OTT releases that are planned for July 21st to 27th ranging from Ronth to Maargan and much more:

Ronth

Where to watch: JioHotstar

Roshan Mathew and Dileesh Pothan play the main characters in Ronth, which will debut on JioHotstar on July 22, 2025. The Shahi Kabir-directed Malayalam movie will also be streamed in Telugu and Hindi at several other languages. Roshan Mathew plays rookie officer Dinnathan in Ronth, who teams up with sub-inspector Dileesh Pothan to patrol at night and deal with the different scenarios they encounter while on duty. According to the teaser and trailer, the cops, who have varying personalities, frequently engage in combat with one another. The officers are attempting to concentrate on their duties while battling their own emotional trauma.

Maargan

Where to watch: Prime Video

Maargan follows a senior police officer (played by Vijay Antony) as he reopens a halted murder case in a busy metropolis haunted by a string of unexplained deaths. When a crafty and mysterious antagonist—someone who always looks one step ahead—enters the scene, what starts out as a normal question quickly takes a dangerous turn. The distinction between justice and personal retribution becomes dangerously hazy as secrets come to light and institutional cover-ups are exposed.

The directors claim that the plot of Show Time revolves around an unforeseen crime that upends a middle-class family's routine. The story starts with what appears to be a typical evening spent watching TV, but after an unintentional murder, things take a sinister turn. The family is more and more overwhelmed by internal conflict, mistrust, and guilt as they attempt to hide the incident. The movie is marketed as a psychological investigation of how a single event may sever family ties and destroy trust.
