The Telugu horror comedy Subham and Naslen's Malayalam sports drama Alappuzha Gymkhana are two of this weekend's top OTT releases that are ideal for a leisurely binge-watching session.
Here is a list of the main South Indian OTT releases that are planned for June 9th to 15th, ranging from Alappuzha Gymkhana to Subham and much more:
Alappuzha Gymkhana
Where to watch: SonyLIV
The Malayalam sports drama 'Alappuzha Gymkhana' is about to make its digital debut, expanding its audience after a successful theatrical run. The drama, which is set against the picturesque yet realistic setting of the seaside town of Alappuzha, centers on five close friends who are unsure of their future after graduating from school. They resort to sports quota because their academic opportunities are restricted. What starts out as a calculated action swiftly turns into a potent personal quest. The gang decides on boxing, which at first only serves as a means of obtaining higher education but quickly transforms into a source of identity, motivation, and change.
Padakkalam
Where to watch: JioHotstar
The main characters in the fantasy comedy-drama Padakkalam are Suraj Venjaramoodu and Sharafudheen. In this fantastical journey, four college pals use an odd, magical board game to battle their cunning professor. The plot takes them on a series of crazy turns and is full of humor, tension, and magical mischief. In this uncertain game, can their relationship prove to be the decisive factor? That is what you will find in the remainder of Padakkalam, an unparalleled campus fantasy!
Subham
Where to watch: SunNXT
Producer Samantha Ruth Prabhu's comedic horror movie Subham opened in theaters on May 9 and was well-received by viewers. Particularly because of its accessible plot and compelling characters, the picture resonated with audiences with its distinctive fusion of humor and spooky aspects.
The comedy mayhem in the life of cable TV operator Srinu (Harshith Reddy) and his two close pals (Gavirddy Srinivas and Charan Peri) is the focus of Subham, which is set in the village of Bheemunipatnam. Their wives, Sreevalli, Fareeda, and Gayathri (Shreya Kontham, Shravan Lakshmi, and Shalini Kondepudi), who are enamored with the Telugu TV series Janma Janmala Bandham, have completely upended their tranquil existence. The three wives get so engrossed in the serial that anyone who interrupts them risks dire repercussions. The husbands turn to Maya Maata, a rural sorceress (with a surprise appearance by Samantha Ruth Prabhu), for solace. As they heed her counsel and attempt to handle unforeseen surprises from a local man named Dish Kumar, the movie takes humorous turns. Whether Srinu and his pals can bring peace back to their homes and community is delightfully explored in the novel.
Aa Okkati Adakku
Where to watch: ETvwin
The story of Aa Okkati Adakku centers on an unmarried man who is deceived by a matrimonial website. The movie tells the story of how phony marriages have become popular these days and how the main couple becomes involved in one of these problems. This film was produced by Rajiv Chilaka and included music by Gopi Sundar. He invested a significant sum of money in the movie and made a respectable profit all over the Telugu states.
Aa Okkati Adakku began uneventfully and was out of theaters after three days of its premiere, despite the fact that the film's creators did everything in their power to make it a success. Allari Naresh was once again let down by the election and IPL fervor, which further damaged the film's box office run. We must wait and watch how the movie does on Amazon Prime. Eleven
Where to watch: Tentkotta, AhaTamil, SimplySouth, Prime Video
Eleven revolves around a proficient policeman who has a strong reputation for handling complicated cases and is renowned for his honesty and intelligence. As he takes on a particularly difficult serial killer investigation, the plot progresses. The plot of the movie, which centers on his quest for justice, depends on his ability to catch the killer.
Reyaa Hari, Shashank, Abhirami, Dileepan, Riythvika, Aadukalam Naren, Ravi Varma, Arjai, and Kireeti Damaraju are among the cast members in addition to Naveen Chandra. A group of professionals from the business worked on the film's technical aspects: N. B. Srikanth handled the editing, Karthik Ashokan was the cinematographer, and D. Imman wrote the music.
