Gwala Gujjar and Hathi Ram Chaudhary's meeting

Paatal Lok follows the story of Hathi Ram Chaudhary, a down-on-his-luck cop, as he investigates the attempted murder of journalist Sanjeev Mehra. As Hathiram delves deeper, he uncovers a complex web of conspiracy and realizes that nothing is as it seems, with bigger powers at play.

The final episode of Paatal Lok reveals the intricate connections between the characters. Hathiram explains to Gwala that Masterji, Bajpayee, Gwala, and Vishal Tyagi are all linked. Gwala, Masterji's brother-in-law, wanted to enter politics but was held back by Masterji's presence. After Masterji's death, Gwala decided to run for office against Bajpayee, who was unaware of Masterji's demise.

However, Bajpayee discovered Gwala's plan and feared for his political career. To protect himself, Bajpayee devised a plan to eliminate Tyagi, his most trusted killer. He orchestrated a fake assassination attempt on journalist Sanjeev Mehra, using Tyagi and three other individuals with criminal records.

(Masterji: Masterji, a feared bandit also known as Donullia, is a pivotal character in Paatal Lok. Although his face is never shown, his influence is evident through Vishal, aka Hathoda Tyagi, who is determined to join his ranks.)

Bharat Milap

The Commissioner assigns Hathiram to the case, expecting him to fail. However, when Hathiram gets close to solving it, he is suspended. Despite this, Hathiram eventually cracks the case. Gwala, with a gun pointed at Hathiram's head, asks him what he plans to do next. Hathiram, aware of the risks, replies that he knows how the world works and that speaking out would put him and his family in danger. Gwala, recognizing Hathiram's powerlessness, spares his life and kills Firangi instead, who had betrayed him by revealing Donullia's death to Bajpayee.

The series concludes with Bajpayee and Gwala forming an alliance, symbolised by a "Bharat Milap" (a union of India), indicating a new era of cooperation between the two politicians.
