Pashmina Roshan, cousin of Hrithik Roshan, made her Bollywood debut in Ishq Vishk Rebound, alongside Jibraan Khan, Rohit Saraf, and Naila Grewal. A Gen-Z romantic comedy is directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari in his Hindi debut and produced by Ramesh and Jaya Taurani under Tips Films.
In the film, Pashmina embodies the modern Gen-Z girl, navigating her generation's challenges and initially blaming her parents but eventually finding her way through the complexities of growing up. Pashmina's portrayal of Sanya is commendable. On that note, Pashmina candidly discusses if she feels pressure being Hrithik Roshan's cousin in industry. She told Jagran English, "I don't feel like it's pressure. I just feel like it's my dream and my goal to be able to have that kind of body of work and to be loved by the audience like that and to be so good at your work. So it's my dream and I'll keep working towards that dream."
The movie follows three childhood friends, Raghav (Saraf), Sanya (Roshan), and Sahir (Khan). As they grow older, love and friendship complicate their bonds. Sanya dates Sahir, while Raghav is with Riya (Grewal). After their breakups, Raghav and Sanya fall for each other, despite Raghav's skepticism about rebound relationships.
Rohit Saraf On Comparisons With Shahid
Rohit Saraf opens up about handling comparisons to Shahid Kapoor after the launch of trailers and songs. He told us "I actually felt so honoured because I'd be lying if I say that I didn't see it coming. I knew that comparison would happen but I think it's only fair. I also don't think the comparison was done with an intention to shame me in any manner. Which was really, really nice actually. I mean, for an entire generation, Ishq Vishk was an emotion.
"I remember the songs were an emotion for an entire generation. And so when a new, for the lack of a better word, version of that comes out, you do wonder that what is this all about? And I don't want anyone to meddle with the feeling that I have associated to Ishq Vishq. So, I completely get it and I completely understand the comparison. Having said that, I actually felt very honoured. Because in all honesty, when I look at Shahid sir, I look at him as somebody who I aspire to be like. You know, he's an incredible, incredible actor," Rohit added.
"He's a phenomenal dancer. The entire country loves him and his talent and his craft. He is, if I speak about pure like professional, this thing, he is a brand that everyone wants to be associated to. I was actually very chuffed when I was compared to Shahid sir. I was very happy from the inside that this is so sweet. Like I was very humbled and very honoured actually."
