'Pathu Thala' is all set to release on OTT after its theatrical run. The movie stars Silambarasan TR and Gautham Karthik in the lead role along with Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Anu Sithara, Teejay Arunasalam, Kalaiyarasan and Redin Kingsley in pivotal roles.

Pathu Thala OTT Release Date:

'Pathu Thala' will release on Prime Video on April 27.

Announcing the release date, Prime Video wrote, "a thrilling action treat with a captivating storyline that’s certain to leave an impact long after the story ends. #PathuThalaOnPrime, Apr 27."

'Pathu Thala' is the remake of the Kannada film 'Mufti' which stars Shiva Rajkumar in the lead role. Mufti was one of the highest-grossing movies in Shivarajkumar's career and was a huge hit. Moreover, a prequel of Mufti has also been announced and it is titled Bhairati Ranagal. The shooting of the prequel started in March 2023.

At the event, Simbu expressed his gratitude towards his fans for supporting him. "You guys have been of huge support for me so far, and it is time you take a rest. You can just sit back and enjoy what I am going to do from now on. Just watch! I haven’t come to this place ordinarily. I am here to stay and I wouldn’t give up that easily,” he said.

Silambarasan shared a heartfelt message for the Keralites ahead of Pathu Thala's release as the movie was released on more than 150 + screens in Kerala.

“Greetings to all Keralites. ‘Pathu Thala’ is releasing on more than 150 + screens in Kerala. I wanted to meet you all but couldn’t, but promise it soon. Kerala has always been very special to me. Be it ‘Vinnayithandi varuvaya’ or my spiritual transformation, Kerala has always played a special part. Thank You for the love you guys showered for my films ‘Maanadu’, and ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’. Your love has given me so much energy. Krishna’s directorial ‘Pathu Thala’ has come out well. Rahman sir’s music is superb. My brother Gautham Karthik has performed well. I hope that our film ‘Pathu Thala’ entertains you. Watch the film with your family,” he said.

On the work front, Silambarasan was last seen in Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu and had a cameo role in Maha. He has also announced his 48th film.
