Phule Box Office Collection Day 8: Pratik Gandhi and Patralekhaa starrer biographical drama, based on the lives of social reformers such as Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule, was released in theatres on April 25. The movie has been maintaining a slow and steady pace at the ticket windows. On Friday, Phule saw a slight drop in numbers, earning in lakhs. However, the net and worldwide collection seems to be at a decent pace. Seeing the current state of earnings, it might be difficult for the movie to have a long run in theatres.

As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 0.18 crore on Day 8. The net collection of Phule stands at Rs 2.27 crore. The worldwide collection of Pratik Gandhi’s film is Rs 2.62 crore.

About Phule
The plot focuses on the lives of Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule, who changed several patriarchal social norms. From educating his wife, Savitribai Phule, to attempting to end casteism, Jyotirao tried to implement several changes in the society. The social reformers openly talked about how the dominance of the caste system affects society, which has been showcased in the film as well. But things did not go well with netizens after the trailer's release, as it received severe criticism. Some called it ‘ant-brahmin’ and the boycott Phule started trending on social media. The controversy became the talk of the town for several months. The movie stars Pratik Gandhi, Patralekhaa, Darsheel Safary, Vinay Pathak and Alexx O'Nell in significant roles. It has been directed by Anant Mahadevan and produced by Pranay Chokshi, Ritesh Kudecha, Anuya Chauhan Kudecha, Sunil Jain, Raj Kishore Khaware, Jagdish Patel.
