Pon Ondru Kanden OTT Release Date: Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Vasanth Ravi have teamed up for a heartfelt romantic comedy movie 'Pon Ondru Kanden'. The movie focuses on a love triangle between a chef, a doctor and a common man. The movie will be released directly on the OTT platform and will premiere on television instead of releasing in theatres.

Vasanth Ravi expressed his disappointment over the release of 'Pon Ondru Kanden' on OTT as he claimed that the star cast was not informed about the decision. He wrote on X, "Shocking !! Is this even True ?? Especially from a reputated and leading production house like@jiostudios. Extremely painful and disheartening to see the promo of #PonOndruKanden and announcement of World Satellite Premiere without any communication to @AshokSelvan, #Aishwaryalekshmi, @thisisysr sir, @directorpriya_v mam, or anyone associated with the film! We have worked really hard for this film. The whole team of #PonOndruKanden is totally unaware and not being informed about this at all!"

On the work front, Ashok Selvan was last seen in 'Blue Star' along with Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Prithvi Rajan, Keerthi Pandian, Bagavathi Perumal, Elango Kumaravel and Lizzie Antony.

He was also seen in 'Por Thozhil' in 2023 and talked about the possibility of its sequel. He told The Indian Express, "The platform is set for a sequel. We can take it forward in many ways. There are numerous possibilities. It is up to Vignesh now to do it. Such a question happened to 'Thegidi'. People kept asking when we made a second part. For some reason, we couldn’t do it. Now, 'Por Thozhil' has made people ask the same thing."

He also talked about the possible sequel of 'Thegidi 2' and said, "See, for a film to happen everyone involved in it should be on the same page. One person cannot do much. So, yes, things didn’t come together for 'Thegidi 2'. Hope it happens with 'Por Thozhil'."

Aishwarya Lekshmi was last seen in 'King Of Kotha' along with Dulquer Salmaan. She will next star in 'Thug Life' along with Kamal Haasan and Trisha. Vasanth Ravi was last seen in the hit Tamil movie 'Jailer' along with Rajinikanth.
