Prabhas, who is gearing up for his upcoming film The Raja Saab, has an exciting lineup. He will appear in the Telugu mythological film Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu and also has a period historical drama with filmmaker Hanu Raghavapudi. The movie is tentatively titled Fauji. Recently, Hanu Raghavapudi shared some exciting updates about the movie and what the audience can expect from the Prabhas starrer.

Reports of Prabhas and Hanu Raghavapudi's collaboration have been circulating on the internet for quite some time. In an interview with Rajesh Manne, the director revealed that they have created a film that people can't imagine and will be left surprised to see. He said, “My film with Prabhas garu will be quite surprising. We have created a never-before world for the film."

In December 2024, reports suggested that Prabhas sustained an injury while shooting for Fauji, causing him to miss the premiere of his sci-fi action drama Kalki 2898 AD in Japan. A letter from Prabhas went viral at the time, which read, "Thank you for your constant love and support for me and my work. I had been eagerly looking forward to visiting Japan, but unfortunately, I sprained my ankle during filming and won't be able to attend. Our distributor, Twin, has been incredibly supportive, and we are grateful for their efforts in ensuring that Kalki 2898 AD will be ready for its release on Friday, January 3rd. I look forward to seeing you all soon."

Speculation about Prabhas’s role in Fauji has been ongoing. According to the latest reports, he will portray the role of a Brahmin in the film.
