Priyanka Chopra Gives A Modern Twist To Saree For The Bluff Premiere; Nick Jonas Can't Get Enough | Photos

Priyanka Chopra is currently promoting her upcoming project, The Bluff. After Vien Diesel praised her and compared her to Nelson Mandela at the film’s premiere, she lit up the party in Los Angeles with a soft, romantic look that paid tribute to both her character and Indian fashion. Posting pictures of the event on Instagram, she described the inspiration for her bright yellow couture gown by Gaurav Gupta, which was a contemporary twist on the classic saree drape.

The design featured a pleated pallu-style drape that fell from one shoulder to a long train. The design was part of Gupta’s Divine Androgyne Spring/Summer 2026 couture collection. It also had a fabric cover on her head, which resembled a cape.

Posting pictures from the evening on Instagram, Priyanka wrote, “Wearing this is an ode to Ercell Bodden, my character in The Bluff. In the opening of the film, she is seen with a dupatta over her head, a subtle yet significant nod to identity and empowerment.”

Desi girl further wrote, “I love a saree. And when I saw this piece walk down the couture runway last month, it felt like a saree with a modern twist. We immediately called Gaurav and asked him to hold it for me.”

Priyanka talked about the elegance and significance of the gown. She felt both connected to the past and to the future, and the yellow is so emblematic of the vibrant colours of India. She said, “To me, this piece is a testament to the ever-expanding global reach of Indian fashion and how beautifully our heritage continues to evolve.”

The Bluff Release Date

Directed by Frank E Flowers, The Bluff is a late 19th-century Caribbean-based film, is. It is all set to be released on 25th February 2026. The film featuring Priyanka Chopra and Karl Urban will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Priyanka will be seen as Ercell ‘Bloody Mary’ Bodden, a pirate who has a past that catches up with her in her perfect life. The film is expected to be an action, drama and performance-based film.
