Allu Arjun stampede controversy: Telugu superstar Allu Arjun issued a statement on Sunday, addressing his fans and urging them to maintain a respectful and dignified demeanor online. This appeal comes in the wake of fresh accusations made by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, pertaining to incidents that transpired during the premiere of Arjun's film Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre on December 4. In his statement, Arjun cautioned individuals who misrepresent his fans by creating fake social media IDs, warning that stern action would be taken against them if they engage in abusive behavior.

The Pushpa 2 star wrote on his Instagram handle, “I appeal to all my fans to express their feelings responsibly, as always and not resort to any kind of abusive language or behavior both online and offline.”

“Misrepresenting as my fans with fake IDs and fake profiles, if someone indulges in abusive posts, strong action will be taken against him. I request fans to not engage in such posts (sic),” the statement further read.

The controversy surrounding the Pushpa 2 premiere has taken a new turn, with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi discussing the incident in the Telangana assembly. Owaisi made a startling allegation, claiming that Allu Arjun callously remarked, "the film will be a hit," upon being informed of a fan's death during the premiere. In contrast, Reddy stated that he was informed of the death by police while he was still at the theatre.

However, in a press conference, Arjun vehemently denied these claims, asserting that he only learned of the tragic incident the day after the premiere, which took place on December 4.
