The cast of the popular South Korean drama Queen of Tears recently came together to celebrate its wrap-up party, and the event was nothing short of spectacular. Fans were thrilled to see their favourite stars, including Kim Soo-hyun, Kim Ji-won, Kim Jung-nan and others, all in one place, thanking them for their overwhelming support throughout the series.

The wrap-up party was a star-studded affair, with pictures and videos from the celebration flooding social media. Despite their fame, Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won were pleasantly surprised by the large crowd of fans and reporters in attendance. Kim Soo-hyun even showed off his witty humour by screaming 'Hong Hae-in', much to the delight of everyone present.

Kim Ji-won, on the other hand, appeared emotional and touched by the outpouring of love from the fans. Both actors graciously interacted with fans, posing for photos and expressing their gratitude for the support they've received.

 

The Kdrama aired its last two episodes on April 27 and 28. After a month-long wait, fans finally got to see Baek Hyun-woo and Hong Hae-in's happily ever after. However, the makers crafted a bittersweet ending by showing Hae-in's death as she grew old and left the world before Hyun-woo at the age of 84. Hyun-woo, the ever-loving husband was shown to bring flowers to her dead wife's grave adding tears of joy and sadness to the viewer's eyes.

The fans, however, got some relief as inside photos and videos from the wrap-up party were shared online. Ji-won and Soo-hyun are shown cutting a cake together and they even give separate speeches and cheer each other on, making the fans' hearts flutter.

Queen Of Tears has made history by becoming the highest-rated tvN drama of all time, surpassing the record previously held by Crash Landing On You. The finale, which aired on April 28, captivated audiences with its 109-minute runtime, bringing the love story of Hyun-woo and Hae-in to a dramatic conclusion.

The final episode of Queen Of Tears recorded an impressive viewership rating of 24.850 per cent across South Korea, according to Nielsen Korea. This rating not only secured the drama's place as the top tvN drama but also dethroned Crash Landing On You, which held the record for four years with a viewership rating of 21.683 per cent for its finale.

Queen Of Tears has also secured a spot in the top three highest-rated Kdramas on cable television. It joins the ranks of JTBC's The World of the Married and Reborn Rich as one of the most-watched dramas in cable TV history, solidifying its place as a cultural phenomenon in the world of Korean television.
