Raghu Thatha OTT Release: Keerthy Suresh and Ravindra Vijay’s Tamil language movie is all set to make its digital debut after its theatrical release. The comedy-drama was released in theatres earlier on Independence Day.  Suman Kumar’s directorial could not perform well at the box office and also gained mixed reviews. Raghu Thatha revolves around a rebellious woman who is forced to choose between principle and patriarchy. It stars Keerthy Suresh, Ravindra Vijay, Chu Khoy Sheng, Rajeev Ravindranathan, Aadhira Pandilakshmi, Anand Sami, Devadarshini, Ismath Banu and MS Bhaskar in significant roles. Keerthy Suresh’s Raghu Thatha clashed with two other big movies Vikram’s Thangalaan and Arulnithi’s Demonte Colony 2. After the failure at the ticket windows, the movie will be finally releasing on a popular OTT platform. 

When And Where To Watch Raghu Thatha?

Keerthy Suresh’s Tamil comedy drama will be making its digital debut on the popular OTT platform Zee5. The movie will be released on 13th September on the streaming platform.



About Raghu Thatha 

The story is set during the time of the 60s when anti-Hindi slogans and protests were uncontrolled in Tamil Nadu. At that time, the people of the state were not ready for the imposition of the Hindi language. Indira Gandhi became the Prime Minister of India which ideally would have given confidence and freedom to women across the country but it was not the same for the female protagonist Kayalvizhi. The young woman opposed the patriarchal culture around her and wanted to live freely as per her wish. But she was constantly being remembered to behave like a girl. In the movie, she is seen as a rebellious woman who later becomes the leader of anti-Hindi protests in her village.

The movie failed to make a mark at the box office but Keerthy Suresh’s performance was highly appreciated. It was produced by Hombale Films. The movie was written and directed by renowned filmmaker of Indian Cinema Suman Kumar.
