Raid OTT Release: After completing one-month run in theaters, Karthi's inaugural film ‘Raid’ featuring Vikram Prabhu, is set to become available for streaming on OTT platforms. This action-packed movie stars Vikram as a police officer, with Sri Divya in the lead female role. Notably, ‘Raid’ is a remake of the highly acclaimed Kannada film ‘Tagaru’, which originally starred Dhananjaya and Shivarajkumar. Now, audiences can enjoy the thrilling narrative and performances from the comfort of their homes as the film transitions to the digital streaming space.

Starting December 8, 2023, ‘Raid’ will be accessible for streaming, adhering to the guidelines established by Tamil film associations. The film's availability on OTT platforms aligns precisely with the mandated 28-day window following its theatrical release.

About Raid 

Tamil-language action thriller film 'Raid' marked Karthi's directorial debut. A remake of the 2018 Kannada film 'Tagaru', which originally starred Shiva Rajkumar, this adaptation features Vikram Prabhu, Sri Divya, Ananthika Sanilkumar, and Rishi Rithvik in prominent roles. The film's musical score is crafted by Sam C. S., with Kathiravan and Manimaran overseeing cinematography and editing, respectively. Released on November 10, 2023, during the Diwali weekend, "Raid" received unfavorable reviews from critics.

After the success of 'Tagaru' in 2018, the rights for the Tamil remake were acquired by director M. Muthaiya. Vikram Prabhu was chosen to lead the remake, with Sri Divya joining the cast in pivotal roles. This collaboration marked Vikram Prabhu's second film alongside Sri Divya, following their work together in 'Vellaikaara Durai' (2014). Notably, 'Raid' became Sri Divya's return to the Tamil film industry after a hiatus of four years since her last appearance in 'Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae' (2017). The Tamil adaptation was aptly titled 'Raid'.
