Actor Rajinikanth celebrated his 73rd birthday on Tuesday, December 12, amidst an outpouring of heartfelt wishes from fans and well-wishers. Marking this significant day, the makers of Thalaivar 170 unveiled the movie's official title— 'Vettaiyan,' presenting it through a teaser video release.

The teaser commences with a scene portraying Rajinikanth engrossed in reading a book featuring a photo of Subhas Chandra Bose, further revealing a glimpse of him holding a firearm. This intriguing teaser captivates our curiosity, shrouding his character in an enigmatic aura.

 

On Tuesday, Lyca Productions shared a picture of Rajinikanth and wrote, "Thalaivar 170 team wishes our Superstar Rajinikanth a Happy Birthday! The excitement is about to peak in less than 3hrs! Get ready for the grand reveal of the #Thalaivar170 title at 5PM."

Speaking of 'Vettaiyan,' the film features Rajinikanth in the lead role, supported by an impressive ensemble including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan. The Tamil-language movie written and directed by T. J. Gnanavel, under the production banner of Subaskaran Allirajah's Lyca Productions.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth's year has been nothing short of remarkable, propelled by the astounding triumph of 'Jailer.' This cinematic gem hit theaters on August 10, 2023, garnering rave reviews from critics and solidifying its place as the top-grossing Tamil film and the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of the year, securing the 14th spot among Indian films with the highest earnings in 2023.

Rajinikanth headlines the cast, featuring alongside a stellar ensemble including Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sunil, Mirnaa Menon, and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles. Additionally, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff make special guest appearances in this action-comedy-drama helmed by director Nelson Dilipkumar and brought to life by producer Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures.
