The wedding celebrations of Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have continued in an absolutely traditional manner as the couple visited the hometown of Vijay Deverakonda, which is Thummanpet in the state of Telangana. What started as a normal visit soon took the turn of a grand village celebration. The people gathered in large numbers to welcome the newlyweds.

When Rashmika and Vijay arrived in the village, people lined the streets on both sides to catch a glimpse of the couple. Traditional folk songs and dance performances were held, creating a celebratory mood in the area. The groom’s home was decorated with flowers and fairy lights for the special gruhapravesam function. Videos of the function went viral, and fans appreciated the couple for staying in touch with their cultural heritage.

Sacred Rituals to Start Married Life

The couple performed the Satyanarayan Vratam, which is normally performed by newly married couples to wish for a peaceful and happy life. Rashmika looked beautiful in her silk saree and gold jewellery, while Vijay donned a pastel-colored kurta, matching the serene atmosphere of the function. The couple was given a grand welcome with Aarti at the entrance, and they performed the traditional ritual of Drishti. The couple smiled and held hands as they welcomed everyone, giving it a personal touch.

Family at the Heart of the Celebration

Vijay’s mother, Madhavi, managed the ceremonies and Vijay’s brother, Anand, stood by the couple. Rashmika’s sister, Shiman, was also a part of the celebration. Large tents were put in place for the guests, and people came in huge numbers to bless the couple. Music and dance shows were organised outside the home, adding colour to the celebration.

Grand Reception Ahead

The couple had earlier tied the knot in a private ceremony in Udaipur on February 26. After returning to Hyderabad, they organised annadanam and distributed sweets in 23 different cities across India. Their wedding reception is scheduled for March 4.
