Rathnam Box Office Collection Day 6: Vishal and director Hari are generating excitement once again with 'Rathnam'. The film has made its global debut, hitting screens in both Tamil and Telugu languages simultaneously. Following a strong opening day, the Tamil version witnessed a remarkable surge in box office collections over the weekend. Boasting an ensemble cast featuring Priya Bhavani Shankar, Ramachandra Raju, Samuthirakani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Yogi Babu, Murali Sharma, Hareesh Peradi, Mohan Raman, and Vijayakumar, 'Rathnam' promises to be a cinematic treat for audiences.

Despite a dip in collections on its fourth day, which fell on the first Monday after its release, the film has been holding steady on weekdays. According to Sacnilk, 'Rathnam' amassed approximately Rs 2.30 crore in net earnings across India on its opening day across all languages. The film's earnings declined to Rs 1.50 crore on its fourth day and further to Rs 1.30 crore on Tuesday. On May 1, the film raked in Rs 1.75 crore.
On Wednesday, Day 6, Rathnam maintained an overall Tamil occupancy rate of 17.23%. The morning shows saw a turnout of 13.72%, followed by a significant increase during the afternoon shows with 23.46%. Evening screenings maintained a solid occupancy rate of 16.10%, while the night shows garnered a turnout of 15.64%.
About Rathnam
'Rathnam' follows Rathnam, who works as an enforcer for MLA Panneer Selvam, taking on the task of protecting Mallika, an aspiring medical student who bears a remarkable resemblance to his late mother. He shields her from constant threats posed by land-grabbing siblings Beema Rayudu, Subba Rayudu, and Raghava Rayudu.
The film, a collaborative effort between Stone Bench Films, Zee Studios, and Invenio Origin, began filming in July 2023 across various locations including Thoothukudi, Trichy, Karaikudi, Vellore, Tirupati, and Chennai. Featuring music by Devi Sri Prasad, cinematography by M. Sukumar, and editing by T. S. Jay, 'Rathnam' showcases notable action sequences choreographed by Peter Hein, Kanal Kannan, Dhilip Subbarayan, and Vicky. Released on April 26, 2024, the film garnered a mixed-to-positive response from both critics and audiences.
