Director Hari and actor Vishal from Tamil cinema have joined forces for the high-budget action-packed movie Rathnam. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays a significant female role in the film. It is scheduled for a grand release in theaters across Tamil Nadu and Telangana on April 26, 2024. However, ahead of its theatrical release, the film has secured its OTT rights.

Rathnam is a Tamil action film directed by Hari and produced by Kaarthekeyan Santhanam and Alankar Pandian. It stars Vishal in the lead role, along with Priya Bhavani Shankar, Ramachandra Raju, Samuthirakani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Yogi Babu. The movie marks the third collaboration between Vishal and Hari. It was initially titled Vishal 34 and later renamed Rathnam. Filming began in July 2023 across various locations and wrapped up in late January 2024. The film is set to release in theaters on April 26, 2024.

For the movie, the music was created by Devi Sri Prasad, while the cinematography and editing tasks were managed by M. Sukumar and T. S. Jay, respectively. The action scenes were choreographed by a team including Peter Hein, Kanal Kannan, Dhilip Subbarayan, and Vicky.
