Sam Bahadur: The advance bookings for Vicky Kaushal's much-anticipated biographical war drama has opened. The film is gaining momentum and is steadily moving towards crossing the impressive milestone of Rs 1 crore. As of now, Sam Bahadur has amassed approximately Rs 88.09 lakh in advance bookings, indicating a promising start. Vicky starrer is slated for its theatrical release on December 1, alongside, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor.

Taking to Instagram, Vicky Kaushal shared that the advance booking for the film is now open. "3 days to go!!! #SamIsHere #SAMबहादुर In cinemas 1.12.2023," he said.

Sam Bahadur Advance Booking Report

According to trade reports, Sam Bahadur has already sold approximately 26,012 tickets for its premiere day, amounting to a substantial earning of nearly Rs 88.09 lakh in advance bookings. The film is eying the impressive milestone of Rs 1 crore, soon. Sam Bahadur is set to have around 2151 shows across various locations in India on its opening Friday.

The Meghna Gulzar directorial is a historical drama featuring Vicky Kaushal in the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The film unfolds against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War, offering audiences a glimpse into the life and experiences of this remarkable military figure during a pivotal moment in Indian history. Through its narrative, the movie aims to capture the valour and leadership of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.

Speaking about his role, Vicky had shared, "There is always a sense of pride and immense responsibility when you wear the uniform on screen. I do get drawn to films which depict stories of real heroes of our motherland and our history. It is very important to educate along with entertainment to the youth of today's generation of the heroes who worked for the country and how their contributions are helping us to reap benefits now. Those stories draw me as an audience as well as an artist. Any films based on true heroes made with the right integrity will always drive me as an actor."

Sam Bahadur also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. The film has been written jointly by Meghna, Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Shrivastava and bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies. Reportedly, made on a budget of around Rs 55 crore, the film was shot at locations such as Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Jodhpur, Pataudi, Chandigarh, Pahalgam, Ooty, Dehradun, Kolkata, Coonoor, Patiala, and Srinagar.
