Vicky Kaushal is currently one of the most talented and versatile actors in Bollywood and never fails to impress the audience with his performances. He will return to the big screen with another intriguing film 'Sam Bahadur' in which he will essay the role of India's first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the movie also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, who plays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, and Sanya Malhotra, who will be seen as Sam Manekshaw's wife. After much wait, the trailer of 'Sam Bahadur' is finally out.

Sam Manekshaw was India's first field marshal and Indian Army's chief of staff during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. He was honoured with the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan as well.

According to the description by RSVP Movies, the synopsis reads, "'Sam Bahadur' is a tribute to Field Marshal Sam HFJ Manekshaw, MC, India's first Field Marshal and a legendary Army General. His career witnessed the shaping of India's geopolitical borders, and his life was marked by significant milestones, from fighting in World War II to being the Chief of Army Staff during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, which led to the creation of Bangladesh."

The description adds, "This RSVP film explores his dynamic personality and his unparalleled military career, offering a glimpse into the life of a no-nonsense Army Commander, also known as "Sam Bahadur" by the soldiers he led."

Written by Meghna Gulzar and Bhavani Iyer, 'Sam Bahadur' is produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the banner of RSVP Movies. The movie also stars Neeraj Kabi, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal roles. Vicky and Meghna have collaborated before in the hit film 'Raazi', also starring Alia Bhatt in the lead role.
