Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been quite vocal about both her personal and professional life. In a recent interview, the actor shared if she envies her ex-partners who moved on in their lives. She said that she has been through too many hardships in life. Samantha also stated that she likes to dissociate herself from is envy. The actress also shared that envy is the root of all evil. Here is what she said when asked if she feels envy towards her exes or if she just ignores it.
In an interview with GQ, Samantha said “I’ve been through too much in my life to dwell on that. One quality that I completely dissociate myself from is envy. I refuse to let that be a part of my core. I think envy is the root of all evil. Everything else is fine, but there’s no space for anything as unhealthy as envy.”
Earlier in an interview with Galatta India, the actress said “When a woman goes through a divorce, there’s a lot of shame and stigma attached. I get a lot of comments saying ‘second hand, ‘used’, and ‘wasted life’. You’re pushed into a corner where you are supposed to feel like you’re a failure that you were once married and now you’re not. And I do believe, it can be really hard for families and girls who’ve gone through.”
For the unversed, Samantha was married to Naga Chaitanya for four years before they officially announced their separation in 2021. In 2024, Chaitanya married actress Sobhita Dhulipala in an intimate wedding ceremony in Hyderabad.
On the work front, Samantha will be next seen in the web show Rakt Brahmand. The series also features Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead. She was last seen in Raj & DK’s Citadel: Honey Bunny. The show premiered on Prime Video in August 2024 and also starred Varun Dhawan in the lead role. It also featured Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Singh Parihar and Sikandar Kher in key roles.
