Pushpa 2 actor Allu Arjun returned home after being released from Chanchalguda Jail on Saturday morning. Soon he reunited with his wife Sneha Reddy and family. His video of hugging his teary-eyed wife went viral on social media. Several netizens reacted to the video including South superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu who got emotional seeing the clip. While re-sharing the video on her Instagram story, Samantha wrote “I am not crying, okay!” She also tagged the couple in the caption and shared face-holding-back-tears emojis.

Notably, Arjun was arrested regarding the stampede that occurred at Pushpa 2’s premiere at Sandhya Theatre, Hyderabad on December 4, where a woman named Revathi lost her life. Her son was also injured due to a stampede.
While holding a press conference after his release from jail, Allu Arjun said “We are extremely sorry for the family. I will personally be there to help them in whatever way possible. I was inside the theatre watching a movie with my family and the accident happened outside. It has no direct connection with me. It was purely accidental and unintentional.”
Allu Arjun was granted bail on the same day when he was arrested. He spent the entire night in jail despite Telangana High Court granting him bail. The authorities didn’t receive a copy of the bail order until late Friday night.
About Pushpa 2, the movie was released in theatres on December 5, 2024. The action thriller stars Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Sritej, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari and Divi Vadthya in key roles. It has been directed by Sukumar.
Allu Arjun earlier reacted to the stampede case and posted a video on X. He also captioned the video, “Deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey.”
