Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan received a death threat on November 7, sparking immediate police action. Investigations have revealed that Faizan Khan, a lawyer from Raipur, meticulously searched online for sensitive details about Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan's security setup and movements before issuing the threat.

The accused demanded ₹50 lakh as extortion money, threatening to kill Shah Rukh Khan if his demands were not met. His threatening call to the Bandra Police Station landline reportedly included statements like, "Is not Shah Rukh Khan the same who lives in Mannat? If he doesn’t pay up ₹50 lakh, I will kill him." When asked about his identity, Faizan replied, "It doesn’t matter, my name is Hindustani," before disconnecting the call.

Forensic analysis of a second mobile phone recovered from Faizan Khan revealed his extensive online searches about the security of the actor and his family, who are accorded Y-Plus level protection. Despite the evidence, the accused has provided evasive answers regarding his motives.

The Bandra Police, with support from the Raipur Police, tracked down Faizan after tracing his location to Raipur. He was arrested on November 12 and brought to Mumbai for questioning. Initially remanded to police custody until November 18, Faizan is now in judicial custody for 14 days.The incident has raised concerns about the safety of public figures and highlights the need for stringent measures to tackle such threats. Further investigations are underway.
