Now, if the latest reports are to be believed, Dunki might be put forward for consideration at Oscars. If it turns out to be true, this will be ‘King Khan’s third movie to be submitted for The Academy Awards.
According to information from Box Office Worldwide, there is a possibility that the film ‘Dunki’ may be put forward for consideration in The Academy Awards. In the past, his films 'Swades' from 2004 and 'Paheli' from 2005 were also presented for consideration in these prestigious awards. It's essential to highlight, however, that there is currently no official confirmation regarding ‘Dunki’ being officially considered for Oscar nominations. The status of its potential entry into the esteemed awards ceremony remains unconfirmed at this point in time.

'Dunki' made its way to cinemas across the globe on December 21, 2023. While opinions among critics varied, with some praising the film and others expressing mixed views, its box office performance spoke volumes. The movie raked in an impressive ₹436.39 crore (equivalent to US$55 million) globally, surpassing its production and marketing expenses that amounted to ₹120 crore (US$15 million).
This financial success propelled ‘Dunki’ to secure its position as the sixth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023, the ninth highest-grossing Indian film of the same year, and an impressive 27th in the all-time list of highest-grossing Indian films.
