Actor Shahid Kapoor has officially announced the release date of his upcoming film Cocktail 2. The film, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon, is one of the most anticipated Bollywood projects of 2026.
On March 13, Shahid Kapoor took to social media to share the update and reveal the film’s release date. The actor also posted a picture of himself from the movie, which appears to be his first look. According to the announcement, Cocktail 2 will arrive in cinemas worldwide on June 19, 2026. The first look of the film, which is expected to be the teaser, will be unveiled in theatres on March 18.

Interestingly, the first glimpse will be attached to the paid preview screenings of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh. The text shared along with Shahid’s photo read, “First look this Wednesday. Only in theatres. Cocktail 2 releasing in cinemas worldwide 19th June 2026.” Sharing the announcement with fans, Shahid also wrote in the caption, “For more info, make your way to the theatres this Wednesday, March 18.”
Soon after the post went live, social media users flooded the comment section with excitement. One fan wrote, “Shahid Kapoor era back.” Another commented, “You Looking Extraordinary And Handsome big brother.” Another user expressed excitement about the teaser debuting alongside Dhurandhar 2, writing, “Ab Ranveer Singh ki movie me attach hoga.” Meanwhile, another fan added, “Yesss! This is what we want from Bollywood. A light hearted rom com. Enough with deshbhakti and agenda movies.”
Directed by Homi Adajania, the film serves as a spiritual successor to the 2012 hit Cocktail, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. While the makers have not revealed many plot details yet, reports suggest the film will explore modern relationships with a bold twist. According to rumours, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna may play a couple, with Shahid Kapoor forming the third angle in the story.
However, the filmmakers have not officially confirmed these storyline details.
