Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor is currently on a roll with a list of promising hits in the pipeline. The actor recently unveiled the trailer of Ali Abbas Zafar's action entertainer 'Bloody Daddy' and earlier was featured in Raj and DK's 'Farzi' making his digital debut, which was a success.
Now, the actor is all set to make his first onscreen appearance with Rashmika Mandanna, where director Anees Bazmee is ready to bring the duo on screen together for the first time. The film is touted to be a comic caper where the project will go on floors in August 2023 and the official cast and crew with the release date of the film will be released soon.

Keeping in order the start-to-finish schedule of the cast, the director of the film Anees Bazmee has finally given his confirmed reactions that the film is also going to be a promising hit. Known for his perfect comic timing films including 'Singh Is King', 'Welcome', and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' the actor seemingly gave a hint of his next project.
According to a report on News18, the filmmaker said, "We haven't announced anything as of now. There are multiple reports online that the film is happening. But we haven't put any official information as of now. Abhi humein announcement karni hai."
If things go accordingly, then the film will mark Shahid Kapoor's return to the comedy genre after almost a decade, as he was last seen in 'Phata Poster Nikhla Hero.' Rashmika Mandanna on the other hand has already been a part of two Bollywood films i.e. 'Goodbye' and 'Mission Majnu.' However, she will be displaying her comic timing for the first time on screen.

According to the reports, Anees Bazmee is set to have a large cast in the film where Shahid Kapoor will be seen in two completely different looks in the film. Talking about the director's super success of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, the filmmaker has a line of films in his kitty.
He recently opened up about the coming back of Salman Khan's superhit film 'No Entry', where he is ready to make the film with the 'Bhaijaan' of Bollywood after his other work commitments, as he is currently prepping up for the release of 'Tiger 3' with Katrina Kaif.
The report also claimed that taking away the reins from dancer-director Prabhu Deva, Anees Bazmee will be directing the sequel of Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha's hit film 'Rowdy Rathore.'
The sequel is likely to be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and the film will now feature Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in lead roles. However, there is no confirmation on the cast of the film but the makers are ready to come back with a promising sequel.

The filmmaker also commented about the making of 'Rowdy Rathore 2' where he said, "Talks are going on. When it's the right time to announce, we will."
