Showtime On Disney+Hotstar: Filmmaker Karan Johar is all set for a new web series, titled Showtime. The central theme of the show delves into a subject that has been on Karan Johar's mind for several years—nepotism. Featuring a star-studded cast including Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi, Mouni Roy, and others, the series intricately weaves a narrative set in the complex world of showbiz. Within this realm, each character is entangled in their unique journey, driven by personal motives and ambitions.

He took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “Welcome to world which functions on - lights, camera & action! Entangled in struggle for power, Showtime is a web series that will draw boundaries…only to cross them.#HotstarSpecials #Showtime, coming 2024 only on Disney+ Hotstar!”

Emraan Hashmi, who plays ‘Badshah of Bollywood’ says in the teaser video, “‘Nepotism ke mukhaute ke peeche aakhir mein har outsider insider banna chahta hai (at the end, every outsider wants to become an insider behind the garb of nepotism).” Naseeruddin Shah also says, “Cinema dhandha nahi dharam hai saadda (cinema is not my business but my religion).”

In an intriguing glimpse into the upcoming web series, the teaser showcases the multifaceted talent of Mouni Roy, portraying the character of an actor-dancer with captivating finesse.
