This milestone places her behind only two other Indian icons, cricket legend Virat Kohli and global superstar Priyanka Chopra.

Shraddha Kapoor amassed an impressive 91.4 million followers on Instagram. This notable achievement places her slightly ahead of PM Modi, who boasts an equally impressive 91.3 million followers on Instagram. However, Prime Minister Modi maintains his position as the most-followed global leader on X (formerly Twitter), with a staggering 101.2 million followers, solidifying his presence as a prominent figure in the digital sphere.

Among the vast array of Indian celebrities on Instagram, two prominent figures stand out for their immense popularity on the platform. Cricketer Virat Kohli has emerged as the most-followed Indian celebrity on Instagram, boasting an impressive 271 million followers. Closely followed by Priyanka Chopra, who has garnered an astonishing 91.8 million followers. 

Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 hit the theatres on  August 15, 2024, and was met with an overwhelmingly positive response from critics, who praised the film's captivating narrative, outstanding performances, and exceptional direction. The movie's impressive box office performance has been nothing short of remarkable, grossing a staggering Rs 367.86 crore globally, thereby securing its position as the second highest-grossing Indian film of 2024 and the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.
