Sitaare Zameen Par: One of the most awaited films of Aamir Khan is set to be released soon. The actor will be making his comeback after 3 years with the sequel to the 2007 film Taare Zameen Par. The movie also stars Genelia Deshmukh in the lead role. At a recent interaction with Pinkvilla, Aamir shared that the movie is slated for release on June 20 this year. He told the portal, Meri toh agli abhi film aa rahi hai, Sitaare Zameen Par. June 20 ko hum logon ne decide kiya release karne ke liye aur (My next film, Sitaare Zameen Par, is coming soon; we’ve decided to release it on June 20).” Amid the buzz about the release date, there is an interesting update about the trailer. 

Sitaare Zameen Par’s trailer will be launched by Taare Zameen Par actor Darsheel Safary, who played the central role of a dyslexic child in the movie. According to an Independent industry source, “Darsheel Safary will be launching the trailer for Aamir Khan's upcoming, highly anticipated film Sitaare Zameen Par. After he delivered a flawless performance in Taare Zameen Par and became a star, it will be exciting to see Darsheel unveiling the trailer and being a part of the sequel to the 2007-released film. More details about the trailer launch are awaited.” 

Sitaare Zameen Par is a sports drama that has been directed by RS Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. The movie is based on the Spanish film Champions (2018). It was announced in October 2023. The cast names have been kept under wraps till now. The posters for the film are yet to be released. 

Taare Zameen Par was one of the blockbuster movies of 2007, which had a box office collection of Rs 98.48 crore. It starred Darsheel Safary, Aamir Khan, Tisca Chopra, Vipin Sharma and Tanay Chheda.
