Sky Force OTT Release: Sky Force, starring Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya in lead roles, is all set for its OTT release. The movie is centred around India's first airstrike at the Sargodha airbase of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965. Sky Force was theatrically released on 24 January, 2025, coinciding with the Republic Day weekend. It received generally positive reviews from critics but had poor box-office returns. Sky Force OTT Release Date and Platform

Sky Force will stream on Prime Video from March 21, 2025.

Sky Force is inspired by the true events of the 1965 Indo-Pak War, specifically the attack on Sargodha, now known as PAF Base Mushaf, on September 7, 1965. The movie depicts a crucial victory in the history of the Indian Air Force, where a 13-aircraft contingent, led by Group Captain O.P Taneja, played by Akshay Kumar, executed a daring airstrike against Pakistan. 

Veer Pahariya portrays Squadron Leader Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya, whose character is named T Vijaya in the film, while Sara Ali Khan plays the role of his wife. The movie promises to showcase the bravery and courage of the Indian Air Force personnel who fought in this historic battle.

The film's development journey commenced in June 2022, marking the beginning of a meticulous planning process. Over the ensuing months, the pre-production phase was diligently completed by March 2023, laying the groundwork for the actual filming process. The project was formally announced to the public on October 2, 2023, coinciding with the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Thereafter, the cast and crew embarked on an extensive shooting schedule, which spanned a remarkable 100 days. Notably, Akshay Kumar's portion of the filming was completed within 60 days. 

The film's production team scouted and shot at a diverse array of locations, including Mumbai, Lucknow, Sitapur, Amritsar, Hyderabad, Delhi, Pathankot and even the United Kingdom. Additionally, a special song featuring Veer Pahariya and Sara Ali Khan was filmed in the picturesque hill station of Mussoorie. After a prolonged and rigorous filming process, the production team finally concluded the principal photography, including patchwork, on December 17, 2024.
