Now, a Reddit post has gone viral online claiming that Sonakshi’s mother Poonam Sinha and brother Luv Sinha don’t follow her on Instagram.
Reddit users have reacted to the post and said, “Just noticed that Poonam Sinha only follows six people on Instagram including her husband Shatrughan Sinha, Luv Sinha and Kussh Sinha. Strange! Why would she not follow her daughter? Luv also doesn't seem to follow his sister on Instagram. Interestingly, Sonakshi also doesn't follow her mother and Luv on Insta. She only follows Shatrughan and Kussh. This feels very strange, considering Sona has been a pampered kid in her family.”
A comment read, “So maybe recently something happened, or maybe we are over analysing and her mom is just not active on Insta,” a user wrote, “It takes a lot to go against your own family for your love. I hope everything goes well for both of them,” a netizen commented, “Looks like mom and one brother aren’t happy about this wedding. Was this the same brother who said I have no involvement in this matter, when asked about her wedding?” a comment read, “I feel so sorry for her. Why do some parents have to be so uptight that they don't see anything beyond their egos and pride, not even their daughter's happiness. Why can't they drop the ego and go attend their daughter's marriage, it'd mean so much to her,” others also dropped similar comments.

The Heeramandi actor’s father had also commented on her wedding rumours with Zaheer Iqbal. He said in a conversation with Times Now, “I am in Delhi right now. After the election results, I flew down here. I haven’t spoken to anyone about my daughter’s plans. So your question is, is she getting married? The answer is that she hasn’t told me anything about it. Main bhi utna hi jaanta ho jitna main media maine padha hai. If and when she takes me into confidence, my wife and I will give the couple my blessings. We wish her all happiness always.”
He said, “I am being asked by people close to me why I am not aware of this (the supposed wedding), and the media is aware of it. All I can say is, aaj kal ke bachche consent nahin lete maa-baap ke, sirf inform karte hain. We are waiting to be informed.”
