Recently, in a conversation with Deadline, Maya Hawke, who plays Robin in Netflix's Stranger Things, hinted at the grandeur of the fifth and final season, likening it to producing 'eight movies', suggesting a significant scale and ambition.
Hawke said, “This show has been a little bit cursed." She praised showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer, stating, “Our showrunners, Matt and Ross, take a lot of responsibility. The commencement of production for the fifth and ultimate season of 'Stranger Things' was originally scheduled for the previous year. However, an unexpected pause ensued due to the occurrence of a writers' strike. In a statement from The Duffer Brothers, the creators of the series, they conveyed, "Duffers here. Writing does not stop when filming begins. While we're excited to initiate production with our incredible cast and crew, unfortunately, it is not feasible amidst this ongoing strike. We earnestly hope for a fair resolution to be reached soon so that we can all resume our work. Until then—over and out. #wgastrong."
