Tara Sutaria stepped into the film industry with her debut in 'Student Of The Year 2'. This year, she starred in 'Apurva,' her maiden solo-led film, which garnered substantial praise and validated her versatility as an actress. Apart from her professional strides, Tara has been a topic of discussion due to her separation from Aadar Jain in recent months. In a recent interview, the actress delved into her experience following the release of 'Apurva' and reflected on the overall journey she's had in the past year.
In a conversation with News18 Showsha, she said, "There has been lots of learning and newness with Apurva releasing, which is the first film I headlined. It’s been a really special time in my life. There has been lots of ups throughout the year and some painful lows too. It has been an interesting process and journey for me, personally and professionally."

Talking about Apurwa's reception, the actress said, "There are so many messages and calls I’ve received from people from the industry and outside that have been extremely touching for me. It’s something that I’ve been really looking forward to. Since I’ve been waiting for it for a very long time, it feels like things are finally falling into place."

The actress was then asked whether there has been a shift in the nature of scripts she's currently being offered. She added, "The film has already opened so many doors in terms of the possibility of more projects in this space that doesn’t put me in a box. There’s a huge conversation that’s happening among so many people in the industry which makes me very happy. The kind of scripts and narratives that I’m getting now are exactly the sort of things that I was looking forward to."
Speaking of Apurva, it also stars Dhairya Karwa in the pivotal role. It is directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. The film was released on November 15, 2023.
