Taylor Swift's fans are heartbroken following the cancellation of three sold-out Eras Tour concerts in Austria (Vienna), which were called off after authorities uncovered a potential attack plot in Vienna. Swifties have flocked to social media to share their disappointment over missing the chance to see the superstar live. Many expressed their frustration on X, lamenting the months spent crafting friendship bracelets and choosing stylish outfits for the event. However, Travis Kelce, on the other side, is showing his strong support for his girlfriend.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end spent many hours on the phone with Swift following the cancellations. Two suspects were apprehended with dangerous chemical and biological materials, and a potential mass attack was successfully prevented. Reports revealed that Kelce was profoundly unsettled by the incident and deeply worried about Swift's safety. A source told The Sun that Kelce was in continuous contact with Swift as the situation developed into a major crisis. "Travis reached out her quickly and stayed on the phone with her for a while to offer support and check on how she was coping with the tense circumstances."

As Taylor Swift was getting ready to perform, an intelligence report uncovered a planned terror attack aimed at the 65,000 fans expected at the stadium. The three Vienna shows, which were set to be among the final performances of the European leg of the Eras Tour, were particularly significant, making their cancellation especially devastating, according to her representatives.

Two arrested

The 19-year-old primary suspect was detained in Ternitz, south of Vienna, and had sworn allegiance to the Islamic State, according to Franz Ruf, Austria's public security director. Authorities discovered chemical substances and technical equipment at the suspect's residence.

A second individual was arrested in Vienna. While several Austrian media outlets reported that additional suspects were being sought, this information has not been officially confirmed by the police. Ruf noted that authorities were aware of "preparatory actions" for a potential attack and that the 19-year-old had specifically targeted Taylor Swift’s Vienna concerts. The Austrian national is believed to have been radicalized online. Ruf stated that the chemical substances have been secured and are currently being analyzed, but did not provide further details, such as the suspects' identities, due to Austrian privacy regulations.
