TEST Movie X Review: Nayanthara, R Madhavan and Siddharth’s much-awaited sports drama movie TEST is now streaming on Netflix. The idea for the film originated from an interview with Virat Kohli, who played a Ranji Trophy match after his father's death. This inspired Sashikanth to explore narcissistic behavior as a positive trait, leading to the development of characters driven by narcissism, set against the backdrop of a five-day test cricket match. As the movie is now available on OTT, the first few reactions are out. Check what audience has to say about TEST:
TEST Movie X Review
After an engaging setup and well-defined characters finding themselves in testing scenarios, #TestOnNetflix rapidly slips into a routine crime drama. The over-dramatic sequences are somewhat balanced by strong performances from two of the leads. A one-time watch. Full review… pic.twitter.com/3TFNR1s5Ez

The main lead actors deliver sincere performances with strong emotional depth. Visuals and a few thrilling moments work well, but the slow pace and flat editing Test your Patience.
Decent watch for those who enjoy thrilling, slow-paced dramas. pic.twitter.com/Jscrp5D14R

TEST marked a significant milestone in the career of S. Sashikanth, as it marked his directorial debut. Interestingly, Sashikanth's journey into the world of film production began when he made the bold decision to transition from his career as an architect. He established the YNOT Studios banner and soon found himself immersed in various production commitments. Amidst his busy schedule, he had initially penned the first draft of the script for Test in late 2012, but it was temporarily put on hold.
However, during the COVID-19 lockdown in India, Sashikanth revisited the script, rekindling his long-held ambition of becoming a filmmaker. As he delved deeper into the story, he decided to shift his focus from a plot-driven narrative to a more nuanced, psychological exploration of the characters, drawing inspiration from the works of acclaimed director David Fincher.
