The Bhootnii Update: Sanjay Dutt and Mouni Roy starrer action comedy horror film which was slated to release on April 18, now has been pushed forward. However, the makers didn't reveal the reason behind the postponement, though netizens speculate it to avoid a clash with Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari Chapter 2. The Bhootnii will now hit theatres on the same day as Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh’s Raid 2.

The Bhootnii New Release Date

Sanjay Dutt took to X handle and announced the new release date of The Bhootnii. Sharing the new poster of the film, he wrote, “Insaan mohabbat wali date fix kar sakta hai, bhootnii ke aane ki nahi... woh kab aayegi, kaise aayegi, yeh sirf wahi jaanti hai! Laga tha 18th April ko aayegi lekin ab aa rahi hai 1st May ko, taiyaar rehna! #TheBhootnii– in cinemas 1st May 2025!”

Soon after this, fans flocked in the comments section. One user wrote, "Solo release for #KesariChapter2." Another user commented, "Thank you baba for not clashing with #KesariChapter2 . Best of luck for The Bhootni." A tweet read, "Clashing With Raid 2 Aap Ki Dost Sir Ajay Sir."

About The Bhootnii

Helmed by Sidhaant Sachdev, it is co-produced by Sanjay Dutt along with Deepak Mukut. The film stars Mouni Roy, Palak Tiwari, Sunny Singh and Aasif Khan in pivatol roles.The film centres around college students who come across some paranormal activities. They take the help of Baba (played by Sanjay Dutt) who brings his lifetime of paranormal experience to confront the ghost (played by Mouni Roy). The movie unfolds with danger with hilarious chaos. Makers promise to bring the movie with a blend of romance and horror.

About Raid 2

A highly anticipated sequel to Ajay Devgn starrer Raid, which was released in 2018. Raid 2 is set to hit cienmas on May 1,2025, starring Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla. It is being helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta.
