The GOAT Trailer: Venkat Prabhu has delivered a treat for Vijay fans with the release of the much-anticipated trailer for The GOAT (Greatest Of All Time). This action-packed film promises to showcase Vijay in a way fans have been eagerly waiting for, featuring him in dual roles as both a father and son in what appears to be a thrilling time-travel story.

The 2-minute-51-second trailer begins by introducing Vijay as Gandhi, a highly skilled hostage negotiator, field agent and spy. With 68 successful missions under his belt, Gandhi is hailed as The GOAT of SATS by another character, played by Prashanth. However, all is not well in his personal life. His wife, Sneha, suspects him of infidelity, though it seems Gandhi is merely indulging in some drunken escapades. Things take a dramatic turn when the family travels to Bangkok, setting off a chain of chaotic events.

The trailer adds a twist with the appearance of a younger version of Vijay, who warns the older Vijay, "No father, you’re in danger." As if that weren’t enough, the trailer hints at an even younger version of Vijay making an appearance, leaving fans speculating about a possible triple role.

Venkat Prabhu shared the trailer on X (formerly known as Twitter), expressing his excitement: “Presenting my hero THE @actorvijay na the way you have been longing to see for ages! Here is #TheGoatTrailer like never before.”

Since the trailer’s release, fans have been buzzing with theories and observations. One fan pointed out the surprise of seeing the youngest version of Vijay, calling it a “WOW moment” in the trailer. Another noticed that the Hindi version of the trailer featured something extra—a scene where Vijay hums the iconic James Bond tune, which was absent from the Tamil and Telugu versions.

A sharp-eyed viewer also caught a nod to MS Dhoni, spotting Vijay wearing a “Definitely NOT” jersey, a subtle reference to the cricket legend. The trailer also debuted a new title card for Vijay, which fans were quick to celebrate.

The GOAT boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Prabhu Deva, Jayaram, Ajmal Ameer, Mohan, Laila, Vaibhav, Yogi Babu, Premgi Amaren and Yugendran. The film is set for release on September 5, 2024, and will be available in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, ensuring a wide audience gets to experience this unique cinematic adventure.
