The Kerala Story Box Office Collection: Adah Sharma-starrer 'The Kerala Story' has achieved a new milestone by crossing Rs 200 crore at the box office. The movie is performing well in theatres despite being surrounded by several controversies.

According to the website sacnilk, 'The Kerala Story' collected Rs 5.50 crore as per early estimates on day 18. Its total box office collection now stands at Rs 204.47 crore.

Expressing her gratitude, Adah Sharma wrote, "Congratulations to the Indian public! She added, "Heartening to see that even internationally #TheKeralaStory is touching hearts of so many. it's just two days old in the UK …. USA, Cannada, Australia and other countries been reading your messages as well."

'The Kerala Story' has been declared tax-free in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. Talking about the decision, the Deputy CM of Uttar Pradesh said, "Making 'The Kerala Story' tax-free is a very good decision. I want the people of Uttar Pradesh to watch this film and understand how our sisters have suffered. We will also go and watch the film. The people in West Benegal will not accept the ban on this film."

If a movie has been made tax-free, it does not mean that the tickets will be available for free. It means that the state has waived the levy of entertainment tax and the tickets will be available at a discount.

Apart from Adah Sharma, the movie also stars Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani. 'The Kerala Story' has been released in 37 other countries as well.
