The Kerala Story Box Office Collection Day 30: After a successful one-month run in theatres, The Kerala Story is now struggling to attract footfalls for the theatres. The film garnered a strong initial response and, despite receiving mixed reviews, has managed to achieve significant success at the box office. Joining the exclusive league of movies that have surpassed the Rs 200 crore milestone, The Kerala Story emerged as one of the standout releases of the year.

Although on its 30th day of release, the film managed to earn only Rs 1.60 crore across multiple languages, this figure reflects an increase of Rs 50 lakh compared to its collection on Friday, indicating that the movie continues to attract audiences despite facing competition.

The cumulative box office collection of the film now stands at approximately Rs 234.2 crore. Although it may fall short of reaching the Rs 250 crore milestone, the movie's overall performance remains commendable.

About The Kerala Story:

The Kerala Story has become a topic of significant conversation in recent times. While some labelled the film's storyline as propaganda, others praised its daring and engaging narrative. Directed by Sudipto Sen, the movie stars Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, and other talented actors. The production of The Kerala Story was undertaken by Vipul Shah.

Initially, the movie asserted that 32,000 women from Kerala were forced to convert and join the terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS). However, amid the controversies surrounding the film, the number was subsequently revised to three.

In The Kerala Story, Adah Sharma portrays the character of a Hindu woman hailing from Kerala. The narrative revolves around her journey as she is manipulated into adopting Islam and subsequently sent to Syria, where she becomes a part of the ISIS terrorist group. Her experiences in the region involve enduring intense torture and hardship.

The movie encountered a shadow ban in Tamil Nadu, and the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, additionally prohibited its screening in the state.
