The popularity of anime has increased over the years across the world and one such series that has kept the audience hooked is 'One Piece'. The live-action remake of 'One Piece' also became a huge success and fans are eagerly waiting for what the makers of the anime series and manga have in store for them. As per reports, 'The One Piece' remake by WIT Studio and Netflix is currently in development and it was confirmed in the financial reports of IG Port, WIT Studio's parent company.

In the second quarter report of IG Port, 'The One Piece' has been listed along with the list of other anime in development for direct-to-streaming. The reports further revealed that 'The One Piece' remake was under suffered loss but the project is expected to bring profit to the studio. According to IG Port, the studio lost around 122 million yen ($828,000) from the same time last year.

'One Piece Egghead Arc' is currently streaming on Crunchyroll and this is the eleventh arc of the series. The show revolves around Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, where he explores the Grand Line in search of the mythical treasure, 'One Piece', to become the next King of the Pirates.

The second season of 'One Piece' live action remake has also been confirmed.

According to Variety, the production house wants to start filming soon and was waiting for Netflix's greenlight and the SAG-AFTRA actors' strike to conclude. "Somewhere between a year and 18 months, we could be ready for air," Tomorrow Studios President Becky Clements told Variety while talking about the release of 'One Piece Season 2'.

The audience can expect the release of 'One Piece Live Action Season 2' by the end of 2024. Iaki Godoy portrays the role of Monkey D. Luffy in the Netflix series, with Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. McKinley Belcher III, Morgan Davies, Aidan Scott, Vincent Regan, Jeff Ward, Craig Fairbrass, Langley Kirkwood, Celeste Loots, Alexander Maniatis, Ilia Isorel’s Paulino, Chioma Umeala, and Steven Ward were seen in pivotal roles.
